The time state button (see Figure 1-3) is located in the top left-hand corner of the pmview window. This button indicates the direction of play, and whether the metrics are `live' or from archives. Clicking the left mouse button on the time state button will display the PCP Time Control dialog if it is not already visible.

Detailed help on the PCP Time Control dialog can be obtained by pressing the Help button in the PCP Time Control dialog, or by selecting Help/Time Controls/Dialog from the pmview Menu Bar.

The time text box displays the current time that pmview is visualizing, either from the `live' or `archive' source. The same time position is shown in the PCP Time Control dialog.
