The time state button (see Figure 1-4) is located in the top left-hand corner of the oview window. This button indicates the direction of play, and whether the metrics are live or from an archive. Clicking the left mouse button on the time state button will display the Time Control dialog if it is not already visible.

The time text box displays the current time that oview is visualizing, either from the live or archive sources. The same time position shown in the Time Control dialog.
