Memory (RAM) Problem

An uncorrectable memory error has been detected with one of the memory modules.

If the problem repeats, follow these steps to correct it:

  1. Save the above error message. It may be useful in determining which memory module is at fault.

  2. Shutdown the system by selecting “System” and “Shutdown System” from the Toolchest.

  3. Refer to your Owners Guide. It shows you how to visually identify a loose SIMM/DIMM memory module and how to re-seat it. If the SIMM/DIMM is not loose, you may need to replace it. The Owners Guide describes how to do this.

  4. Take precautions to avoid shocking yourself or damaging sensitive equipment by grounding yourself and by following the directions in the Owners Guide.

If necessary, contact your System Administrator or your service provider.
