Mouse Confidence Test

The Mouse Confidence test requires user interaction. You must press the keys on the mouse to be tested and visually monitor the graphical representation of the mouse on the screen. As you press the keys on the mouse, the corresponding keys on the graphical display should be highlighted. You should also move the mouse around the mouse pad, and see a corresponding movement on the screen of the mouse moving on the mouse pad.

The test does not display a “passed” or “failed” message when it is complete. You determine the results of the test by monitoring the test itself.

If the keys that are pressed on the mouse are highlighted on the graphical interface, the test was passed. If the keys that are pressed on the mouse are not highlighted on the graphical interface, the test was failed and the mouse should be cleaned or replaced.
