The Confidence test has detected that the device existed and was still configured. However the tablet or the spaceball device file is missing or corrupted, or the device file has invalid permissions. Verify that the permissions are correct by executing the ls -l /dev/(tablet or spaceball) command. The permissions on the device should be read/write. The device type should be of type “character.” Verify that device has not been removed and then verify that the device is properly connected and is powered on.
